Curtains
All our curtains are made with hand stitched hems, weighted corners and sewn in hand stitched deluxe satin lining. For interlined curtains we have a choice of three weights of bump depending on the finish and the type of window dressing required, and also the fabric being used. Interlined curtains not only look and feel sumptuous, they can also eliminate draughts and provide excellent sound deadening qualities.
Please feel free to discuss the options available to you.
Headings
All types of tapes are available according to the style of the curtains. Hand stitched, double, triple, or goblet pleats are ideal for poles and soft pelmets, and give an elegant and professional finish.
Pelmets
Valances or Soft Pelmets
Proportions are important when including this in your style, and various shapes can enhance the effect of the window treatment
Tie-backs
Matching Tie-backs can be made incorporating contrasting fabric to depict the shaping, or highlighting a particular colour. Lengths vary but in general they are:
24" (60cm) for 1 width curtains
26" (65cm) for 1.5 width curtains
28" (70cm) for 2 width curtains
Roman Blinds
In recent years the uncluttered finish of Roman Blinds has become increasingly popular. Most fabrics are suitable but vertical patterns or stripes are a good desing for this type of blind, whilst contrasting borders or braiding work well on plain fabrics. Blinds can be lined and interlined according to your preference.
For wide windows, it is advisable to consider hanging two or three blinds instead of one. Be guided by the contours of your window when deciding. Wider blinds benefit from a chain lift system instead of cords tied around a cleat - this makes them less unwieldy and easier to operate.

Cushion Covers
Cushion Covers
Literally hundreds of ideas can be applied to the making of scatter cushions. Braids, fringing, piping, buttons and frills can all be used to great effect. Zips are used on all our covers where possible.
The above information is included as a guide to help you make your final choice. Many more variations exist and we would be happy to discuss these with you if you need more advice.
